Keonguk Elementary School is an ethnic school developing pride and identity as Koreans. Based on a substantial curriculum for the development of ethnic pride, dignity and tomorrow's global citizens, students acquire higher scholastic ability and courtesy, through an education aimed at a balance of intellect, virtue, and body.

Real-time learning with ICT Three levels, including Korean-born and Japanese-born students

・English Education
Team teaching with a native teacher The lower grades learn English through physical activities, using games, CDs and DVDs. Students from third grade on up learn systematically with textbooks, aiming at self-expression in English through conversation practice

・Taekwondo class The study of traditional Korean beliefs and skills in Taekwondo class promotes a persistent mindset and a strong will.

・ Korean Traditional Dancing class Aiming at the continuation and development of traditional Korean culture, students cooperate in body and mind, so as to pass on our ethnic culture and establish their identities.

・Art class、Music class Students have the chance to be creative, work with their hands, develop their sensitivity, and cultivate their ability to express themselves.

・Human Rights Education We cooperate with the local social welfare center and set an original curriculum. Living together We focus on coexistence in society.

・Extra Activities We also have curricular club activities for fourth, fifth, and sixth-graders, such as an outdoor ball game club, an indoor ball game club, an ethnic music club, a home economics club and a science club.

Extracurricular club activities include the basketball club, football club, Pungmul club, Madang-nori club, and softball club.
