目標・教育活動

国際社会で活躍する人材の教育と豊かな人間性を育ちます。

At the junior high school, we work on multilingual education for a globalizing society from the stage of compulsory education. Individualized instruction is carried out through small classes. Through Keonguk's original curriculum, trilingual classes aim for multilingual acquisition. Furthermore, we aim to nurture citizens of the world who develop rich human nature through various international exchange experiences, and play important roles in the 21st century.

・ Learning Korean Students learn Korean from native teachers to master "live Korean." The language study curriculum includes classes divided by achievement level.

・ English activities Education for multifaceted ability includes listening and conversation. All grades study English vocabulary daily, with weekly checks and tests.

・ Basic Japanese class Students newly come from Korea can study Japanese one-on-one in a specialized classroom. Care and support in all aspects helps students overcome culture shock and begin their new school life smoothly.

・ Lectures for increased ability Outside lecturers are invited, including English and math courses during long vacations. They aim at challenges for advanced students and chances to overcome weaknesses.

・ Learning camp 10 hours daily of individual study allow for improved scholastic ability, patience and endurance, and concentration.

・ Moral education The three-year junior high school curriculum allows students to learn about ethnicity, courtesy, and human rights, and to develop confidence in themselves, pride in their origins, and respect and affection for others.

Overseas school excursion Second-year junior high school students take a trip abroad. They visit Korea for an "experience-based" excursion, deepening both learning and understanding of Korea and Japan.

Exchange students/language students Exchange students and language students are welcomed at Keonguk Junior High School. They participate in classes with the other students, learning about differences in culture and customs and acquiring an international sense.

Club activities Club activities are part of the development of a healthy mind in a healthy body. Junior and senior high school students take part in club activities together, so that the younger students can aim at a higher level by learning from the older students.
